Sportsbook Odds
Why bet365, Betway, 1xBet and Stake rarely match
Sportsbooks build in a margin, commonly called the vig, that varies by operator and market type. Comparing the same fixture across four books typically reveals a spread of several percentage points in implied probability.
That spread is the house edge showing up in the price, not new information about the game. A one or two point gap between two books on the same match is normal. A much larger gap — five or more points — usually means one operator is slower to move on new information, or is deliberately shading a line to balance its own book.
How to use this
When you're comparing odds across bet365, Betway, 1xBet, and Stake, look at the implied-probability column rather than the raw decimal price. It strips out the different formats and makes the actual disagreement between books visible at a glance.
